Commission Free Baccarat

Introduction

The page covers various variants of commission free baccarat I have seen or heard of. See the table of contents on the right for the full list.

EZ Baccarat

In this version, a winning 3-card total of seven will be a push for the Banker. You can cover that contingency with the Dragon bet that pays 40 to 1. For more information, please see my page on EZ Baccarat.

Monkey Baccarat

This is the same as EZ Baccarat with some extra side bets thrown in. For all the details, please visit my page on Monkey Baccarat.

Nepal Baccarat

super 6 - visionary

This variant of baccarat follows the conventional rules, except a winning banker bets pays even money, on a winning total of six they pay 1 to 2. The house edge on the player and tie bets are the same as regular baccarat. The house edge on the banker bet is 1.46%. This game is also sometimes known as Punto Banco 2000, Commission Free Baccarat, and Super 6 by Visionary iGaming live dealer casinos.

Tiger No Commission Baccarat

Tiger No Commission Baccarat is the same thing as the Nepal variant, with five side bets thrown in.

Version 2

I had an unconfirmed report that somewhere in the Philippines they once offered a Commission Free Baccarat game with where most winning Banker totals of 7 paid as shown below. I hear that Version 1 is now the standard in the Philippines, but this one may have been tested there at some point.

In version 2 a winning Banker total of seven pays as follows:

  • Banker has 7, player has 4, pays 2 to 1.
  • Banker has 7, player has 0-3, 5, or 6 pays 1 to 2.
  • All other banker wins pay 1 to 1.

The table below shows a house edge of 1.23% on the Banker bet.

Total 1 -0.012292

Version 3

I had an unconfirmed report that somewhere in Singapore somebody offered Commission Free Baccarat in which Banker wins of 8 paid 1 to 2. I hear the standard rule is version 1 above, but this version may have been tested at one time there.

The following table shows a house edge of 4.07% on the Banker bet if a win on 8 pays 1 to 2.

Version 3

Total 1 -0.040658

Version 4

I have had two reports that in Amsterdam they offer what I'm calling version 4, in which Banker wins of 5 pay 1 to 2. The table below shows a house edge of 0.93% on the Banker bet.

Version 4

Pays Probability Return
1 0.415240 0.41524

Total 1 -0.009328

Version 5

I don't know anything about where this version 5 can be found.

  1. Banker or player 8 or 9 is a natural, neither hand draws.
  2. Both banker and player stand on 6 and 7, draw on 0 to 5.
  3. All wins pay even money except winning 3, which is a push.
  4. Ties push

The following tables show the possible outcomes of the Player and Banker bets.

Version 5

Event Combinations Probability Pays Return
Win 384732321058944 0.437758 1 0.437758
Loss 398265579972864 0.453157 -1 -0.453157
Tie 82338046949952 0.093686 0 0
Winning 3 13533258913920 0.015398 0 0
Total 878869206895680 1   -0.015398

The lower right cell shows a house edge of 1.54% on both banker and player bets.

Version 6

This version pays 1 to 2 on a Banker win on 8 and even money on all other Banker wins. The Player and Tie bets remain the same as conventional baccarat. It is offered by Internet casinos using Pala Interactive software.

  1. Banker or player 8 or 9 is a natural, neither hand draws.
  2. Both banker and player stand on 6 and 7, draw on 0 to 5.
  3. All wins pay even money except winning 3, which is a push.
  4. Ties push

The following table shows the possible outcomes of the Banker bet based on eight decks. The lower right cell shows a house edge of 6.80%, which is very high for baccarat.
